One of the things i enjoy as much as beading on a loom is thinking up new designs and drawing them out on paper. Loom beaded strips can be used on so many things like dog leashes, cowboy hats, horse bridals and reins, hair barrettes, wrist bands and on and on.
I have some free patterns below for you to browse through and print if you wish. I will add more from time to time, so be sure to bookmark this site, and tell all your friends.

All of these loom beading patterns are created by me, one bead at a time. Feel free to print and use any patterns you wish, make stuff with them, sell stuff with them. BUT PLEASE DO NOT SELL MY PATTERNS INDIVIDUALLY OR IN A COLLECTION. You are more than welcome to use them on your blogs and web-sites, but please give credit by way of a link to this page.
Using The Patterns
These patterns are just simple geometric designs. They were not made to specifically fit any one project you might want to do. They are more or less just swatches to get your creativity flowing.
For example, if you want to make a beaded strip to sew on a belt, you may take one of the patterns above and repeat it several times till you have the correct length you need. Or perhaps, you are just making a beaded barette, and the patterns above are too long, well you could just omit rows from the patterns to get your desired length.
On each pattern i have tried to give an idea of the actual size it would turn out to be if you are using size 10/0 beads. In general, a square inch is 10 beads wide and 15 beads high. If you use a different size bead, the size will end up totally different.

You know you don't have to put beads on only one at a time.... you can put them all on at once..... its easier that way... but your things you make are....EXEMPLARY!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to know if you have any patterns that i might have and if so here is my email address and tell me how you do that on a loom and how many beads do you use to make those neat patterns because i would like to try to make something like that with my beads,oh...do the beads have to be small or can they be big beads? or does it matter?
How do you keep all the beeds between warps when the string of beeds are long? Please help if you can. I just bought a large loom. graduating from the small one.
Appreciate your efforts - these are great designs for New Bead Loom Weavers. Looking forward to more.

I am new to loom beading. I am finished with a piece. Have it off the loom. Now I need to know how to put the fastners on the end for a bracelet. Any help would be appreciated. Tried a crimp bead but that cut the warp threads. Can you say disaster! LOL Thanks for any suggestions
How do you actually mount the completed loom work on thick leather (ex: a belt)?
Hi, I'm new to weaving and am trying to make my own pattern with letters. Could you please give my some tips?
Hi, I have a question:
How do you finish something you've done on a loom? I mean like how do you take it off, and hide all the threads and keep the beads from coming off the end?
By the way, I really like all you're patterns!
Well, it's settled now! I know what I'll be doing all summer long now. Thanks for the tips and patterns.

Thank you, I have had people asking where good loom paper could be found on the web, so I hunted and pecked my way here. I put it up on my blog, and gave full credits and links to you! http://beadandfeathers.blogspot.com , an aftershoot of my anartistlife.com blog Thank you!, Marge
Thank you for the graph paper. I am just getting started with my new loom. It is a bit intimidating, but I plan to work at it until I get it straight. Most of the patterns seemed to be cute or Native American. I bought two books, by Margie Deeb, that have some great designs. Also, I plan to start with simple bracelets, and maybe progress from there. But, if all I do is bracelets that's fine too.
Happy Beading!
Yes, I was looking for tips on how to make a pattern that resembled zebra stripes. Not really looking for the pattern itself. I decided in the end to use your graph paper and measure it off. I then started coloring in stripes. It's actually working well! The graph paper is a huge help. Before I'd always just thought it up in my head or used a piece of paper but with this type of pattern it was almost impossible.
Hi Night Writer,
I had a question about certain types of print beading and if you'd ever done any. A friend of mine has requested I make her a Zebra Print bracelet. Although, in concept, it could be easy, I'm having a hard time even working out the pattern on paper. If you've ever done anything like this, are there any tips you could offer?
Thanks!
How can one join two loomed strips end to end
I made two stips to make a necklace size to fit around my wife's neck , my loom was not long enough the two strips are on the loom still
thank you my e-mail adress is Wamble57@gmail.com thank again
Hi Night Writer, I printed out the graph paper. It came out on my printer the exact same size as it is shown on my computer screen. it printed fine in 'portait format' It looks like it is actually to scale. I would use sharp pencil crayons instead of felt pens to work out the colour patterns. I will use it for my next loom project! Thanks, it will be a great help - usually I work out the pattern in my head, or a peice of scrap paper!
I love your bead designs Night Writer! Thank you so much for the Loom Bead Graph Paper. You can always use regular square graph paper to design patterns, but your bead graph paper gives a way more realistic look and makes it much easier to visualize the finished pattern.
Beautiful bead graphics - very realistic!. The loom beading graph paper is amazing, what a lot of work. Great Job! I added this hub to my beading hubs.

I also have memories of doing bead loom bracelets as a kid. My dad made simple Indian designs for me on graph paper. Enjoy! My eyes are not so good for seeing these tiny beads these days. Voted your hub up. I love arts.
